Mentored for Good

My Life Shaping Lessons from Life Changing Leaders

By Keith Lilek (Author)

Mentored for Good is the story of how a willing mentee was shaped and molded by the mentoring he received all throughout his life and how his character was shaped to the benefit of all those he came in contact with. Life's struggles. Life's uncertainties. How can we succeed? How can we be better at anything we want to try? All too often we don't take advantage of those creative people all around us who are willing to share their stories, their actions, and their solutions. It's hard to go through this life alone. But there are many people we come in contact with that can and do inspire us to live more fruitful lives if we are open to it.

Mentors can make all the difference.

In Mentored for Good the author invites you to consider the many ways having a strong mentor can impact your life for good. He shares how his own experience with mentors has deeply impacted his faith, family, friendships, and professional life. Written in a unique, creative, poetic style, each story shares an uplifting mentor message gleaned from his personal experience. These stories provide a compelling incentive for readers to consider engaging a mentor. This book is a way of saying “thank you” to the many mentors he listened to, learned from, and applied their guidance. He is so much better off for doing so, and you’ll be encouraged at just how much having a mentor could change your life story as well.

My Hope for the Reader

I was in the habit of living out the lessons I learned from many mentors in various stages of my life. Those lessons are often divinely inspired human actions that guided me to be better at whatever I was trying to do…Helping me become a better basketball player, salesperson, manager, entrepreneur, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. In all stages of life, make it a habit to keep your eyes open and learn from those around us. No matter what stage in life you are in there are lessons to learn. Don’t be timid about asking.

Please recognize this book is not to go up on the shelf. It can be used as a table reference and a daily reminder of some of the most important biblical lessons applied to daily living. It's helpful without being too overwhelming. My hope is you read your Bible as a result…and recognize the wealth of knowledge all around us that you can tap into if you only ask for help.
